With the landscape surrounding us covered with snow, “ it’s beginning,” as they say in the song “to look a lot like Christmas”. And we send our greetings and love to all the Snider clan as we once again celebrate God’s Love for us in the birth of our Savior in the Bethlehem manger.
Highlight for us was the trek of our two vans to Carenport and the family reunion What a joy to be with you all in July. It was a treat for all the grandkids to see all their Great Aunts and Uncles and all their cousins, and the games of Capture the Flag and Run Sheep Run and all the other fun activities were a great part of their adventure.
Since we returned we had one other trip which we took in early October to Missouri, and the territory where Paul’s Grandmother and Grandfather Corum met and married, several Amish settlements including Jamesport & surrounding areas, Carthage where we visited The Precious Moments Chapel, Museum and Store and celebrated our 47th anniversary in a Victorian Bed and Breakfast. On the way home we visited with our African friends Anne and Gatobu and their three boys Tae, Bii and Monene. They then visited us on Thanksgiving (U.S.) Day along with two other friends whom we had met in Nairobi, last summer. We had a house full with 20 around our table for a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
The big joy of the year is that our Basement Finish Project is almost complete.... thanks to Dan. He’s spent many hours and has done the majority of the work traveling back and forth from Cheyenne, with the help of Jeff and Cody and Jeff’s dad Fred who did the taping and texturing, along with Paul and three or four professionals. We now have a very warm useful space for entertaining with a large family room, additional bedroom and bath. It looks great and we can now accommodate any of you who would stop by.
We spend some of our time traveling between Loveland and Cheyenne to watch the grandkids perform. Annie has turned 15 & has a learner’s driving permit. She has been active in school, in sports as captain of the freshmen girls volleyball team, playing guitar and church. Caitlin continues to excel in her music, art(one of her photos will appear in a new youth Bible) academics and also volley ball. Jenny likewise does well in school, music , and played volleyball and is now playing on the 7th grade A team in basketball.. Cody and Savannah are in a new Charter School that has given them great opportunity to grow and excel. Cody is doing well on his Sax–(Trevor was right. He sounds much better without Grandad). He played a Charley Parker Jazz duet with a classmate before 2-or 3 hundred folk at the Band Winter Concert. He also played Running Back and Linebacker in football and Roller Hockey and is following in his Dad’s artistic footsteps.... creating clay animation motion pictures. Savannah is Miss Dramatic... creative writing and playing soccer have been part of her activities. The parents are all busy with Church, School and GROUP publishing.
Other than the above activities it’s been pretty quiet around here. Lee, because of stomach and back problems is limited in what she can do but she manages to keep busy. Paul does some hospital calling but that’s about all. This year marked Paul’s 50th anniversary of his license to preach and although he didn’t get to preach he did get to be an angel(?) for the choir Christmas cantata.

We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!
May Christ’s Love and Peace and Joy be yours.
Paul and Lee
