Miranda's Reunion Story

So, I was watching TV one afternoon, when I heard a great rumble. I looked out the window to find Hell’s Angels rolling down main street Macoun. Upon closer observation I realized it was just Benji and what looked to be Picker ripping up the town on their new motorbikes. This got me to thinking that a drive might not be such a bad idea.
First, Mom and I took a quick trip up town and saw Darren and his new wife Jillian. Jillian by the way is the newest member of the Snider family. Congratulations to the happy couple. Speaking of the Barnstable family I see that Don just turned sixty. His family announced this grand event with a sign declaring, “You’re to sexy to be sixty.” I have no further comments on that issue.
Being somewhat frightened I decided that we better head south to a more pleasant destination. I was headed out towards the old Snider Farm to see if there were any little ones running around yet, at Doug and Marcia’s, as Julie and Ryan are expecting. That got me to thinking about Tyson, who had his convocation from the University of Saskatchewan this year.
All this pondering got me really hungry so I started into Estevan to Heather’s for some world-class cake. Then naturally I had to stop by Gayle’s to see what hockey players were hanging out there. Turns out it was just Kolby and a bunch of other guys that I did not know. I decided that because I was in the neighborhood I would stop by Carl’s to see the new suite and to see if he had any fresh vegetables from his garden. As I cruised on a bit more I noticed Jeremiah working on the railroad, all his livelong days. The things you need a university degree for these days, eh?
Well, that about covers everyone in Estevan. We put the pedal to metal in that little car, and there was a blue streak all the way up to Nipawan. I had to dig Trevor out of the snow bank before I could visit with him. I had to ask him how the fishing was and about the local sports team. After we cleared the driveway off, we said our good-byes and put our sights on Alberta.
Our first stop was at Drumheller, to look at the dinosaurs, oddly enough we ran into Jason. I had to ask if his dad, Taradact-“AL”, had moved into the museum yet, seeing how he is such an old fossil. After a good laugh we aimed for Calgary. Turns out they still have not made enough malls for Terra yet. Of course that Presidential Prosper Tractor Platinum Gold card has no limit, so that doesn’t help to slow her down any. So as Terra sped off, I slipped over to Olds’ Golf Course to visit Dwayne. However, after a few minutes he seemed to be a little Teed off with me. Consequently, I made a flying trip to the coast to escape from a golf-club beating.
While in B.C. I stopped by some of the relatives place’s, but it turns out they move around a lot and I was actually visiting with strangers... Not like I would know if they were my relatives or not anyway. While in B.C. I also pulled over by one of the hockey arenas. There I saw Dale up in the sky-box getting elbowed by Gordie Howe, I just hollered, “Dale, how about those Giants!”
After the game I saw that I had a few extra dollars in my pocket, so I dropped by the Auction Mart. I was looking for a junk trunk, because I have a lot of junk. Luckily, Marlin was there and he was cleaning up an old trunk that I swear had my name right on it. Well, I grabbed my trunk and drove over to Kevin and Ruth’s house to see if they had recovered from the double wammy of weddings. I was delighted to see that they are currently enjoying the empty nest.
I was getting hungry again so I headed over to Wilbur’s for a meat pie. It turns out, I still don’t like them. Needless to say I got out of there in a hurry and I was off to Victoria to see Jeremy and Rose. Could you imagine the funny children’s books those two could put together.
After another good laugh I decided that I better head back home to Macoun. It was a long drive, but it saddened me to think that I did not quite make it over to Australia to see Brandon backpacking in the down-under. I arrived home tired, but a glimmer of humor came over me when I realized that I still did not put as many miles on, as Wendy does, in a day.
