Hello Canadian Relatives!
I need some information from the Vancouver/Victoria side. I have a friend who will be spending her holidays in Vancouver and Victoria this summer. She'd like to know some good places to eat, particularly places that are not chains that you'd find in the States. Any recommendations? Thanks!
We are having a very mild winter here. Too many days in the 60s and 70s and not enough moisture. We may be in trouble this summer. The mountains did get some snow and the Nelson's got to enjoy a couple of days of skiing. Caitlin is our star skier. Her old mom & dad can't keep up with her. Annie now has her driver's license which is wonderful and scary at the same time. (I'm sure a lot of you know that feeling.)
Jennifer recently finished her basketball season and is happy to be able to be a couch potato once again.
Dan and I led our annual spiritual Encounter retreat for the church last weekend and a the girls are involved in a big youth weekend this weekend. We're looking forward to spring break in a couple of weeks although we'll be hanging around here because it's Easter week.
Mom and Dad are doing pretty well. Dad had some surprises when he went for his annual physical but hopefully none of it will be too big of a deal. They're planning a trip to the Amish in Indiana this summer. I think some of the sisters are going along.
Robin and Jeff are always busy with jobs, church and kid's activities. The four of us had a nice Valentine's dinner together while the kids entertained themselves. We had quite a crowd to send Annie off to her Valentine's dance.
Hope you all are well. I'm with Heather, let's hear how everyone's doing.
