CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM LEONE’S CREW IN COLORADO TO ALL THE SNIDER CLAN THROUGHOUT CANADA
CHRISTMAS 2008
As we pause again to celebrate the greatest gift God has given to all mankind, the gift of a Child born to be the Prince of Peace and Savior of the World.... We want to again send our wishes for a Joyous Christmas and to let you know we are thinking of you during this season.
For Paul and Lee it has been a rather quiet and uneventful year although there have been moments of joy and sadness celebrated with family and friends throughout the year.
In November, we said good bye to Paul’s dear cousin Helen Wallace. In August,we celebrated and were pleased to bless the marriage of grand niece Jessica Dirnberger and Bruce Freeland at their home in Fountain, Colorado .
We had two very pleasant trips during the year... In June: Robin and Melody treated their parents to a nice Mother’s/Father’s day gift of a trip to Northwest Wyoming...and a stay in a bed and breakfast in Lander- a delightful tour of Yellowstone Park and Buffalo Bill Cody Museum accompanied by the two youngest granddaughters Jenny and Savannah.

In September, we journeyed home to Saskatchewan and had a fun stay with Alice and Leonard; enjoying visits with other members of the family, including Carl and Marion and roamed the countryside . It was a special time.
In November, Len and Alice returned the favor and joined all the Tapey crew along with Cynde, Ben,Gwendolyn,Tim, Lynn & their 3 boys. Paul’s sister Deloris and husband Bob also joined us for an American Thanksgiving Feast with 23 around the table.
The grand children and their parents keep Paul and Lee entertained. Dan and Melody are now in their 8th year in Cheyenne at Frontier Church and Melody is still teaching 2nd grade. The girls have been active in school and sports and church. Annie turned 16 on the 10th and immediately went down after school and got her driver’s license. She was the setter and captain for the East High Junior Varsity volleyball team and a sub on the varsity team. Caitlin was on the East High Freshman team as the libero. Caitlin was recently chosen as student representative from Carey Junior High to the School District Steering Committee. She also had one of her photos( a photo of the old barn behind Grandma & Grandpa Snider’s home in Macoun) chosen to be placed in a new youth Bible produced by Group and Tyndale Press, which was designed by her Uncle Jeff. She continues to play the keyboard with both the adult& youth praise groups. Jenny is a two sport person on the eighth grade volleyball and basketball teams (scored the winning basket in a recent 25-23 thriller.)
Jeff and Robin are busy as ever with Group and Grace Community Church. Cody had a wonderful field trip to Washington D.C. with his class in the spring and played football in the fall. He is now focusing on Art. He ‘s really interested in animation and claymation. He also plays saxophone in the school Jazz band. Savannah is the newest to join the athletic endeavors. She played on an undefeated soccer team in the fall and is just finishing playing a fine season of basketball.
Other than an occasional night out & fishing trips we’ve been pretty much homebodies. Lee keeps up on her reading and entertaining as friends and family come by. Paul keeps busy in the yard.is a volunteer hospital caller and supplies the pulpits of a few nearby churches when the pastors are away. It has been a quiet but a good year. Now we send our love and wishes for a peaceful and joyful celebration of our Lord’s love and a New Year full of blessing.
LOVE- JOY- PEACE
